Def Lep opened and was amazing as usual. It's clear they love what
they do. They interact with the audience and each other. Joe can't hit
the high notes like 10 years ago , but very close. Journey was a huge
disappointment. The vocals were weak. Neal's ego was on full display
as usual but doesn't have enough skill to warrant the ego. Lots of
distortion during their set. I was in the 3rd row and by the time Journey
started the 4th song half the seats were empty. Never would I pay
money to see Journey. Def Lep worth every penny.
Linda Merriman from Los Angeles, California
JOURNEY & DEF LEPPARD
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
I've seen both groups multiple times and they were both EPIC, after all these years!
I HIGHLY recommend it for everyone, should they tour again, in the future!!!!!
ROCK ON!!!

FIVE STARS FOR DEF LEPPARD ONLY JOURNEY 0 STARS
Def Leppard was on fire last night at the Forum. They played both to and with the
audience. Their carefully crafted sound did not disappoint and left you wanting more.
Great lights and visuals. I took my 11 year old son - never miss an opportunity to see a
great life lesson about a one armed drummer. Journey, on the other hand was a life
lesson of an entirely different kind. You were unable to hear any vocals and the
distortion was off the charts. Visually, you could see Arnel trying to give it his all but
you can't sing over a freight train headed for a wreck. Expected more from a band that
should be able to play their hits in their sleep. There isn't a good review on the internet
for the sound quality they're bringing with them. Get it together Journey. PS. If your
headed to the Forum, get there early or you get to park in the gravel parking lot for the
new football stadium - and its LA so you pay full parking price $25
Chrissy from Vancouver, British Columbia
FELT LIKE I WAS 15 AGAIN! DEF LEPPARD FOR THE WIN
Journey was ok, was disappointed Arnel couldn't hit the high notes, and the sound was
meh for them. Def Leppard however started strong and stayed strong throughout, Joe
Elliot is the man, hitting those highs with no problem. Great sound, so friendly with the
crowd! What a great night, felt like I was back in 1988! Tons of Pyromania tunes, was worth
every cent of the $220 per ticket row 28 on the floor. Most I have ever paid for a ticket,
super worth it! I hadn't seen them since 1993!

DEF LEPPARD ***** JOURNEY **
I am a HUGE fan of both groups. Last night, I
just couldn't. Journey was a huge
disappointment. Their sound was equally
just as messed up as their singing, too many
solos (very uninteresting), no one wanted to
sit through almost an hour of instrumentals.
I have to hand it to the kid, he really tried
although he looked like he was on
something, couldn't get all the words out
correctly nor hit the notes. Obviously no one
can live up to "the original". Def Leppard on
the other hand, were just as amazing last
night as they were 30-35 years ago. They
played last and absolutely stole the show.
Hopefully next time they play together
Journey goes on last so i know I won't have
to suffer through their set and can get home
at a decent hour. We were on the floor, nine
rows back, but we didnt see much without
straining because of where they were
located. Far left side adjacent to the stage.
Do not bring children unless you want them
subjected to marajuana smoke and drunks.

DEF LEPPARD HAS NEVER BEEN BETTER. JOURNEY DISAPPOINTING
I admit that I'm a huge Def Leppard fan and
have seen them 3 times in the past. All were
fantastic shows but this one was even
better. Sound, lighting, band energy, and
crowd focused presentation were amazing!
Our whole group (10 of us) loved them. I am
also a big Journey fan and had never seen
them before. I was really looking forward to
what they were going to be like. Wow, they
were boring! Neil Schon needs to get over
himself. He can play the guitar but do we
really need an out of place fast guitar riff in
Faithfully? The sound was a mess. My wife
commented about not being able to hear
the vocals, which I couldn't hardly hear
either. The singer tries, and jumps around
like he's 1/2 the age of everybody else, but
Neil just won't let him have any attention.
Steve Smith gave an incredible drum solo.
You, my man, have skills. The stage show
was flat and the lightly only acceptable. Def
Leppard destroyed it while Journey seemed
to be going through the motions.
BillyBob from Boise, Idaho
DEF LEPPARD AMAZING! - JOURNEY - MEH
Def Leppard friggin' ROCKED the house!!! For men over 50, they sure demonstrated a
LOT of energy and shared the glory with each member. Journey was good, but the
sound was bad. Hard to hear Arnel over the loud guitars. Arnel was full of energy, but
with a break between every son for a Neal solo, not great. Neal was good, but it was
supposed to be about Journey, not just Neal.
Russell from Boise, Idaho
DEF LEPPARD 5 STARS - JOURNEY 2 STARS
Def Leppard opened and was pretty good. I'll admit I was more looking forward to
Journey, but Def Leppard stole the show. Sound was NOT good for Journey.
Becky from San Francisco, California
DEF LEPPARD AWESOME
DefvLeppard was awesome. Journey
was okay - major sound system
Issues for Journey. Steve Perry - come
back! Foreigner was great - very
energetic and played great songs. Def
Leppard definitely outshone Journey.
Sheiryll C from Houston, Texas
DEF LEPPARD AND JOURNEY - BEST COMBO!
These are my 2 favorite bands of all times and I truly
enjoyed the concert. I’m not sure what sound issues
everyone else in other cities/venues are talking about
because we didn’t have it here in Houston. Def
Leppard opened and they were so awesome that I
was super pumped! Their visuals and energy were
electrifying!!! Journey’s visual and lighting effects
weren’t up to par with Def Leppard’s in my opinion
but still very much enjoyed the show. Steve Smith
had a sick drum solo! Arnel Pineda is definitely no
Steve Perry but the man is talented and can belt
those notes like no other. Unless you can sing like
that, then u have no right calling it karaoke which I
read on some of the reviews. My only criticism is I
wish Journey opened for us on Saturday and Def
Leppard closed. Either that or Journey needed to
step up their lighting and visual effects.
Julia from Houston, Texas
DEF LEPPARD AWESOME
Five stars for Def Leppard only. They were awesome. Journey not so much. I got tired of
hearing so many guitar solos. I was disappointed that Def Leppard did not close the Saturday
night show in Houston. Would definitely see Def Leppard again but not Journey
First timer from Houston, Texas
JOURNEY/DEF HOUSTON TX
the five stars are for def leppard. i had never been to a concert before but grew up hearing both
these bands. i was amazed by excitement and energy def leppard brought to the stage. between the
band and the audience, we cracked a hole in the roof! it was a FANTASTIC show omg they are true
entertainers. cool to see how many parents took their kids to share the music we grew up
with...now, sad to say i may have "stopped believing," Journey was hard to endure. there was so
much ego up their from neal ,poor pineda didn't stand a chance, he might have done ok. steve the
drummer did outshine them all with his drum solo (even when he almost popped his face with a
drumstick, nice recovery) but he wasn't able to carry the whole set. Let's just say when DL opened
the show, it was jumpin it was a sold out show not an empty seat in the house, but by the 2nd song
of journeys set , i could have walked up to center stage. They know how to clear a room faster than
a brussel sprout fart! smh
Christy Baker from Dallas, Texas
DEF LEPPARD DALLAS TEXAS
Def Leppard killed it last night in dallas Texas
!!!! Amazing show . Journey was ok but left a lot
to Be desired. We need Steve back for sure!
The sound was cut before show ended ! But
they couldn’t bet Def Leppard performance if
they wanted to !
BirdDog from Dallas, Texas
DEF LEPPARD KILLED IT...JOURNEY NOT SO MUCH
Def Leppard’s performance was like a fine
wine...getting better with time. Journey’s performance
on the other hand reminded me of a cheap wine
cooler that you had to settle for because everything
else was grabbed out of the cooler already. DL had
the house rocking as loud as I have ever heard.
Everybody enjoying the experience together... then
Journey took the stage...very disappointing to say the
least. The guitar was so overpowering, not to mention
every other song was a force fed 10 minute guitar
solo. The problem is not the lead singer in this group
(Arnel does decent, but says “F-it” when he sings
Faithfully with abnormally long pronounciation of the
time honored lyrics we are all use to). The problem is
the huge ego of Neil the lead guitarist...no wonder
Steve left the band. Just as soon as we would start
getting into the song... here comes another ear
bleeding guitar solo, ruining the flow of the set.
Dave from Dallas, Texas
DEF LEPPARD'S SHOW BETTER THAN JOURNEY
Def Leppard was great - Journey not so much. They might as well change the name of the band to the Neal Schon Band. Overbearing guitar drowning out Arnel on every song then not one but two Neal Schon solos, talk about ego... As of two guitar solos were not enough, there was a Jonathan Cain solo on piano and also a Steve Smith drum solo. The crowd was obviously not interested in these, as each time there was solo, there was a mad dash to the concourse.
Def Leppard kept the concert from being a bid dud. I don't know if they switch the order in which they play from city to city, but Journey should play first and let Def Leppard close the show.
I rated the overall show a 5 solely on Def Leppard's performance.
Chris from Dallas, Texas
FIVE STARS FOR DEF LEPPARD, JOURNEY BARELY REGISTERED.
First time to see both bands. Def Leppard opened and raised the bar
way high and Journey never came close. joe from Def Leppard was
sounding great and the band was tight. It was well choreographed and
entertaining. Journey on the other hand was like seeing the Neal
Schon solo show and a his supporting cast. The music was decent and
chock full of the hits everyone knows, but Neal's look at me act ran old
really quick. It fell flat in my book. The AAC was a good site. Had seats
on the first row of the upper deck and the sight lines were just right.
KRK from New Orleans, Louisiana
5 STARS FOR DEF LEPPARD A BIG ZERO FOR JOURNEY!
All I can say is Def Leppard was amazing.
I have seen Journey before & it was a really good show...
BUT NOT THIS TIME!!!
The music drowned out the singer. Actually I think he was
sick...laryngitis maybe? His voice, when you heard it, was terrible.
He took way too many breaks & did not play the full hour and a half.
Speaking of which, who EVER HEARD OF “NO ENCORE”???
Sorry Journey, we are through!
I wish I could get half of my money back!!!!
Suzanne from Huntsville, AL
DEF LEPPARD WAS FANTASTIC AS USUAL. JOURNEY WAS OK
I always make a point to see Leppard when they are touring because they never
disappoint and bring their A game every time. I saw them in Birmingham and
Nashville this tour. Journey did their best to entertain but the sound issues they
had at both shows was not enough to give them more than an ok rating. I was glad
that it was Journey Opening and Leppard closing both these shows otherwise I
would have not enjoyed it as much. Journey just proved why they should have been
the opener and not co headlining this tour.
Kellie Haas from Reynoldsburg, Ohio
DEF LEPPARD WOULD BE GETTING 10-STAR REVIEW!!!
This was a concert that I never expected to
see in a million years!!! Def Leppard ROCKED
the place! They sounded amazing and they
performed the songs they way the FANS
want to hear them...like the original songs
that everyone loves. I would've personally
liked to have heard some more older
material (from early albums), but with
limited time for their set, they chose the
best. The light/laser show was outstanding
and the giant screen, which was able to
show all five guys at once, was my favorite!
They started the set with "Rocket", which
was never one of my favorites, but after
seeing them open with that, the excitement
that I felt, it is now a fave. I will NEVER forget
that night! Well worth the price and can't
wait to do it again!
Journey, on the other hand, not so much.
Pineda was flat and tried too hard to be a
rock star. They couldn't keep the crowd
hyped up. In MY humble opinion, Journey
will never be Journey without "The Voice".
Allie from New Orleans, Louisiana
DEF LEOPARD 5 ; JOURNEY ZERO!!
Def Leopard put on a great show! They worked as a
team and deliverd outstanding performance as a
band. Then Neal entered the stage with some other
guys. My ear drums still hurting from the
overpowering of the lead quitar and keyboard
drowning out everything else. There was no balance
and the set was very unenjoyable. Some say its their
sound guy, i suggest its their biggest EGO NEAL. Neal
kept running lead singer off the stage. Not going to
let him steal any recognition. It was clearly the Neal
show!
Andrew Simkewicz from Westminster, MA
DEF LEPPARD EARNED ALL 5 STARS... JOURNEY ZERO
Def Leppard was as good of a concert as I've ever seen. Simply awesome!!
Journey was brutal! The sound was grossly off, the show coordination was horrible, and if
I heard the Steve Perry impersonator say Mass a chew zits one more time, I was going to
see if Hannible Lector was still alive to eat his heart with some fave beans.
Fact is... I would never go see these guys EVER again. I felt cheated in the end as the band
and crew didn't deserve to get paid. Half the songs I had never even heard before.
Alie from New Orleans, Louisiana

5 STARS FOR DEF LEPPARD AND A BIG F'N 0 FOR JOURNEY
How Journey headlined this is criminal. They
need to stop touring immediately. Someone
either cripple them or tear their vocal cords
out of their throats. F'n YouTube singer
sucked nutsack, as did the rest of those
clowns. Def Leppard? F'n awesome. Even
THEY knew that Journey sucked donkey balls.
Joe Elliott, at the end of their set, said they
hope to come back next year with a bit of a
different set up. That's nice talk for "Journey
sucks and we're sorry you paid to see them'.
Diplomatically said, but I'm pickin' up what
you're throwing down, Joe. Def Leppard gets
10 stars. Spectacular. Hope they come back
minus the tools that rode in with them next
time.

DEF LEPPARD CRUSHED IT !!
Went to the Journey, Def Leppard, Cheap Trick show at Fenway Saturday night. Cheap
Trick was a great opener. Great energy from the band and the crowd. Then Def Leppard.
There was not one second anyone in Fenway had their butt in their seat. Awesome
performance from start to finish. I have seen them a few times, first at Fenway, and they
just keep on rockin!!!! This proved to be too tough of an act to follow for Journey. I give
them an A for effort but Def Leppard stole the show hands down.
Bob from Marlborough Ma. from Boston, Massachusetts
CONTINUED 5 STARS FOR CT AND DL, WHAT HAPPEDED TO JOURNEY?
I thought for sure one of the crew would stop the show, and fix the volume mix and
get it right. It was so obvious to everyone in the stands, something was wrong. I left
my seat and went down the field to talk to Fenway security about the terrible sound
from the speakers. He said they sent a message to the sound tent, and it was out of
their hands. I am again in shock to hear so many comments from other shows out
the sound issues. “Fire the sound Crew/ manager”. I doubt they will get an invite
back to Fenway. Boston music fans are crazy supportive at Fenway, but Journey
stuck out last night. Hopefully they get word to fix this problem, before it ruins fan
loyalty. The sound crew needs to have ears in the stands to help guide and adjust s
sound levels. I’ll be watching the reviews to see if they fix it.
Hats off to the Fenway crew for managing the concerts. Perfect place to see your
favorite band !
Bob From Marlborough from Boston, Massachusetts
5 STARS FOR CHP TRK AND D LEP, , WHAT HAPPENED TO JOURNEY?
I had a blast at Fenway Way park 2018 Aug. 10,11,12. Seeing all performers on the
three nights
Peter Wolf, Jimmy Buffett, Billy Joel, Cheap Trick, Def Leppard and Journey.
I was most excited about seeing Journey for the second time since seeing them in
Aug 2017 in Laconia NH. I always enjoyed their music and could not believe how
good they sounded in the smaller NH amphitheater. Arnel Pineda was amazing as
was all bandmates. The sound mix was perfect and sounded like the recordings.
Fenway Park has a perfect speaker / sound system and every show is right on with
the quality of instrument mixing and crystal clear sound. I had a good seat about
twenty rows off the field opposite the stage.
Cheap Trick and Def Leppard were amazing, then Journey started their set. I was in
total shock of the total distortion coming out of all the speakers. The Bass guitar
and Bass Drums completely dominated the speakers and sounded like booming
thunder against the ears. Guitars, Keyboard and Vocal

JOURNEY/DEF LEPPARD /CHEAP TRICK CONCERT
Cheap Trick /Def Leppard awesome Journey sucked too loud all static I
don’t know why sound guy did not fix 1 song into the Journey set? 5
stars for CT / DL

THE JOURNEY IS OVER FOR JOURNEY
Journey should have opened for Cheap Trick and Def Leppard or better just stayed
home. I would have been happy with the other 2 bands. Pretty sad to pay that much for
tickets and get that crap! Def Leppard saved the night they were awesome! I saw
Journey 40 yrs ago in Tampa and they were blown off stage that night too by Van Halen.
Diane from Franklin, Massachusetts
I'VE WANTED TO SEE DF FOR 35 YEARS . WAS WORTH THE WAIT!
I'll start my review by disclosing I'm incredibly biased.
I went to see Def Leppard, I've loved them since I was
in fourth grade. I'm 45 now, and this is been my
bucket list item for as long as I can remember. I was
hoping I hadn't waited too long, yes they're getting
up there in age. They were unreal. I sang along to
every song, and every song sounded just like the
original. They will always be my favorite band!!!! I was
a little annoyed that, although he didn't technically
open and they co-headlined, because they went first,
the crowd wasn't as warmed up as I think they could
have been. I think Journey should have gone first
because they are more mellow. I'm a huge Journey
fan, but I'm sorry. No one can replace Steve Perry. I
was missing him a lot on Saturday night.... Journey
was a bit of a let down.
Amy from Minneapolis, Minnesota
DEF LEPPARD AWESOME!!!! JOURNEY NO WAY!
Def Leppard stole the show! Hands down THE best
concert I have ever been too! Cheap Trick was
amazing too. If you ask me Journey should have just
opened for DL and CT. DL spot on such an amazing
show. They interacted with the crowd and when Rick
did his drum solo he didn’t miss a beat! These guys
are just Amazing, the sound, the energy, lights,
EVERYTHING!!! Can’t say enough! Back to Journey let’s
just say very disappointing. I’ve seen a better show
on America’s Got Talent. I actually sat down and
started filing my nails before my husband came back
and we left 3 songs in. I would have gladly given my
row 22 seat on floor to someone who actually wanted
to stay to hear that mess. Again Def Leppard
absolutely MESMERIZING!! I hope DL comes back to
Minneapolis very soon with Cheap Trick. Journey can
stay behind and learn how to get their sound right
and become the band they were back in the day.
Elizabeth from NJ
DEF LEPPARD AWESOME, JOURNEY... NOT SO MUCH
Def Leppard rocked! Journey was horrible! Left the show after 2 songs, the sound was
terrible, and the newest singer was off key! Wish the entire show was Def Leppard, they
never disappoint!
Angie Poortinga from Des Moines, Iowa
DEF LEPPARD ROCKED IT!
Def Leppard was AMAZING! Was so impressed and
wished they would have played the entire show as I
could have watched them play for hours! Great
energy and vocals, light show was fantastic and solid
all around. Journey was pretty disappointing was
pretty much the Neil Scon show and by mid concert
every song was a guitar solo to showcase him. It was
like they got together to showcase him only. The lead
singer tried but the band played over him you could
barely hear his vocals. Def Leppard definitely worth
it, Journey not so much.
Mary from Nebraska
DEF LEPPARD HIT IT OUT OF THE PARK!!!
We just had the pleasure of seeing the Def Leppard/Journey concert on July 19th in Lincoln, NE. I'll tell you what....Def Leppard has to be, hands down, the BEST concert I've ever been to!! They sounded like they did 30+ years ago, and the entertainment value was PRICELESS!! However, Journey was the BIGGEST disappointment EVER
:( I grew up listening to Journey and l am still a HUGE fan of Journey's music w/Steve Perry. We felt that this concert was "the Neal Schon show", not the Journey that we had grown up loving. Nothing at all against Arnel Pineda, but he is very karaoke like! I'm so sad that I left there feeling like I wasted my time sitting through the rest of the show.
Susanna from Wrigley Field, Chicago, Illinois
DEF LEPPARD AND PRETENDERS SLAYED, JOURNEY MEH
The show at Wrigley Field 7/14/18 needed more Pretenders and less Journey.
Chrissie Hynde was badass, but the set WAY too short. No "Brass In Pocket"? Really?
Journey clearly hasn't sorted out their sound issue. And, to mirror everyone else
here, WAY too many solos that felt like ways to give the other old dudes a rest
between songs, not even remotely cool save a truly mesmerizing turn from Steve
Smith on drums. They kinda-sora re-energized the crowd for the last 3 songs (Wheel
In The Sky, Faithfully, Don't Stop Believing), but overall it felt like a tired, overwrought
karaoke show. Props to Pineda for being a good Steve Perry impersonator, but
these guys really need to hang it up.
DEF LEPPARD WAS A REVELATION: the energy, an amazing light show, all the hits, and
the crowd was INTO IT. This is what people come to a rock and roll show for.
OUTSTANDING.
Steve Parker from Louisville, Kentucky
DEF LEPPARD WAS AMAZING....JOURNEY JUST SUCKED
Never a fan of 80s "hair bands," we went expecting to tolerate Def Leppard to get to Journey (saw them 3 times in "the day)...couldn't have been more wrong.
Def Leppard was AMAZING! I didn't really know their music, but the band was pure entertainment...great sound, awesome crowd interaction, engaging...loved the way they ended the show...very cool and appropriate for the crowd and band. A class act..
Then there was Journey...WTF! They came out to Separate Ways, transitioned into another song, then another...no crowd interaction...each crapped on by long, harsh, raggedy, awkward Neal Schon guitar solos. Arnel danced all over the stage, trying to fill up the awkwardness with weird acrobatics and clunky microphone flips that went on WAAAAAAAAAAY too long. At one point, the lights hit the crowd, to illuminate several thousand "fans" standing still, just staring blankly at the sh*tshow unfolding on stage.
We left after 4 songs, when it was evident it wouldn't get any better. Very sad.
Steve from Louisville, Kentucky
DEF LEPPARD FANTASTIC
Def Leppard gets 5 stars! Simply amazing!
Journey not so much. Too many solos and a
few mediocre songs. Fans want to hear the
hits! Play them! I love Journey and I know
they’re all great musicians BUT they’re losing
fans if they don’t change the setlist. They did
not sound as crisp as Def Leppard.
Disappointing indeed.
VR from Lexington, Kentucky
SURPRISED
Last night my husband and I went to Louisville's Yum Center to see Def Leppard and Journey. We aren't huge Def Leppard fans and were mainly interested in seeing Journey, but things can change "on a dime" (or on a couple hundred dollars)! Def Leppard was AMAZING!!! We loved their energy, lightshow, vocals, EVERYTHING!!!! We were pleasantly surprised! Then came Journey. I cannot say how disappointed we were. Their sound crew needs to be fired, because the acoustics/instruments were so loud, you couldn't hear OR enjoy the vocals. It almost seemed like they were trying to be a hard rock band like DL. Journey needs to remember that their vocals and lyrics are great and can stand alone without the volume turned to the max. I gave my review 5 stars, but only because of Def Leppard and their performance. Staying in Louisville and going downtown for events is always enjoyable.
Miss Prancy from Louisville, Kentucky
5 STARS FOR DEF LEPPARD
I went to see Journey and left a Def Leppard fan! Amazing. Journey - in the last couple
cities all the reviews say fire your sound team and quit with all the guitar rifs, we want to
hear your SONGS. Not songs that weren't in the top charts. I would see Def Leppard
again in a heartbeat. Amazing! Great show and the sound was top notch. Music was
fantastic, Def played all their #1 songs. That's what we want to hear.
TD from Louisville, Kentucky
DEF LEPPARD ROCK
5 stars for Def Leppard, they carried the show last nite in the YUM center. Was very disappointed with Journey and their show. Too many solo's to kill time. But over all the whole concert was enjoyable.

DEF LEPPERD AND JOURNEY
Not gonna lie. I miss steve Perry. And andre
peneia did a good job. I just miss steve Perry.
Andre sounds a lot like him so my journey fix
was covered. Def lepperd though, amazing.
Some of Joe elliots vocals were a little off but
pipes still work pretty well for an old man!
Overall they were amazing. I was reminded
how much I love deff lepperd.
Jennie from New York, New York
JOURNEY AND DEF LEPPARD AT PRUDENTIAL
The 5 Starts go to Def Leppard, and my guys who I have seen 5
times in concert! The best show ever.....full of energy, excitement
and Rock and Roll!!! Love them! Show up every time to rock the
house, and give the best show ever! Joe Elliot, the best lead singer
EVER! We have the best time, and so do they.....best show ever!
Journey.....well, meh. A little flat, sound was awful; sound like a
tribute band in a dive bar, trying to sound like Steve Perry, but not
quite hitting the mark. Time for them to hang it up? Plus, too many
solos to kill time? Mediocre at best.....like Lights, though.
Sassyblonde1 from Clifton, NJ
DEF LEPPARD & JOURNEY, PRUDENTIAL CENTER, NEWARK 6/15/18
I'd do it again in a heartbeat. So glad I was able to go.
Music heals the soul & energizes the spirit. As a
lifelong JOURNEY fan, Def Leppard was incredible.
Very impressed & loved it & every one of them. So
happy. And JOURNEY was just as amazing &
energetic. I'm still in awe of all their talents. If you
are a true music fan...you will love both. PS: I've been
very sick & a rough medical treatment week. It was a
blessing & thrill to hear them live. Dont miss out.
They've still got it. All of them.
Carolyn from Newark,NJ
DEF LEPPARD /JOURNEY
Def Leppard was AMAZING!!! They played all the hits that made them huge in
the 80's! Journey was a big disappointment! The sound, vocals and performance
sucked. Too many guitar solos that lasted way too long! They have so many
great songs they could have played but instead played garbage. Three song we
never even heard of! Play the hits, that's what people want to hear! I'd go see
Def Leppard again in a heartbeat, Journey made me less of a fan.
Inez from New York, New York
DEF LEPPARD 5 STARS @ MSG
Went to see Journey and they were horrible, as
similar reviewers state their sound was muffled and
rough. They were like watching a cover band at a
local bar, their lineup was unexciting too. DefLeppard
came out and completely rocked the house, their
energy and sound was inspiring and the lineup was
perfect. Would def go to see DL again. journey has
had its day.

was really disspointed gondef leopard there us a
new fan in da hoiuse
Steve from Charlotte, North Carolina
DEF LEPPARD AMAZED, JOURNEY WAS MISSING SOMETHING
I'll state up front we went to see the show FOR Journey, who's last tour we missed.
As such, we rolled in just after Def Leppard had started. We deeply regret that now.
They were AMAZING. Every bit as good as they were in their heyday, and they each
truly looked like they were having a ton of fun. I loved the lights and the flashback
pictures, and I loved how engaged they were. This show gets 5 stars for what Def
Leppard brought.
Journey started with a bang but was off for most of the set. There was a lingering
feedback issue that they didn't seem to fix for most of the show. There was little
highlight of Arnel's voice, or even with a light on him for a lot of the show. Neal
Schon had way too many solos and focus, so much that we remarked it was Neal
Schon (+ Journey.) Something was off, and I think it was squarely between the band
members, not the show itself. The hit list was good, but something was wrong, sadly.
Sydsyl from Charlotte, North Carolina
5 STARS FOR DEF LEPPARD..1 STAR FOR JOURNEY
5 Stars for Def Leppard but Journey
SUCKED!!!
Wendy from Raleigh, North Carolina
IT ROCKED!
Awesome show! Though
there was some distortion in
the sound in parts of the
Journey show they need to
work on but both bands
rocked! Great night!

DEF LEPPARD ROCKED IN TORONTO
Excellent show put on by Def Leppard on June 1st. Sounded as good
as they were in 80’s. Journey put on a good show, but their music was
louder than singer, also had some feedback issues. Overall it was a
great combination that had Peter Frampton open.
SAL from Hershey, Pennsylvania
5 STARS FOR DEF LEOPARD ONLY
Def Leopard was absolutely amazing. Sorry I
will probably never get over Steve Perry-less
Journey but went in with an open mind. My
problem is not with the singer it’s Neal Scoen’s
(sp?) constant “look at me” guitar solos! People
pay the money to hear Journey songs not to
hear his guitar play.

GREAT NOTHING BUT GREAT
I'ts not easy to sign Journey songs and the kid kill it.

5 STARS FOR DEF LEPPARD
As always Def Leppard rocked Cleveland! Then I left. Zero interest in watching a Journey show.
Old rocker from Toronto, Ontario
FRAMPTON AND DEF LEOPARD
Frampton still shreds his guitar was amazing. AND as
always Def Leopard rocked it. JOURNEY just needs to
stop. They need Perry back or just STOP. SUCKED for
the time they hit the stage.
M Bowers from Toronto, Ontario
ROCKED THE PLACE
With the price of concert tickets now adays, its nice to see that there are still some
bands that realize you just want to hear the hits. Thats what you got last night at Rogers
Centre with Journey and Def Leppard...Hit after Hit.
Great show

SUCH A GREAT SHOW- SUCH A GREAT RESPECT & CALL TO THE OLD DAYS
These 2 bands came out to the west coast (I'm sure played all over), in 2019. But my wife & I have been big fans forever & talked my folks into joining us for their concert at George in the Gorge (not many know how cool that venue really is), but anyway; they rocked it, and we all fell in love once again with really well-done classic rock!
It was the first time in 29 years that these same bands had played together at this same venue (minus Steve Perry, of course {but here's a kicker... HE WAS THERE!!}
Young crowds tended to drift off when Def Leopard left the stage; but for some of us, it was just beginning..
When Journey took the stage, they had a presence & a purpose. They made us cry, love, and want, all over again; truly. Sorry Steve, Arnel is great! He's not you; and we miss you, but he's still amazing. His charisma & charm is off the chart & the fact that he's so humble, thankful, and knows how wonderfully blessed that he is, just makes him so much more loveable! He gives us what we want, but reminds us of where we're from; and that's just hard to beat. He sings like a bird, and mostly sounds like you Steve; and I've finally come to a loss for words...
Best concert I've seen in many years! I'd follow them over & over if they came back. We had just an amazing time & even my folks were impressed with the show. All good things!

JOURNEY BEST, BUT COULD BE BETTER. DEF ENERGY, BUT JUST OK
The highlight of the night were the last 3 songs by Journey: Faithfully, Wheels, Stop
Believing. Crowd also loved the best. Just like old Journey. Arnel was very energetic.
Instruments turned up way too high in the mix - Arnel had to scream to be heard,
except for best songs. Arnel is just as good as Steve Perry at his peak, but is more
entertaining. Too bad for the mix and Neal's too long and loud solos. Def Leppard
was fine, but could not understand any of the words because volume of instruments
was too loud.
Dan Newman from Portland, Oregon
DEF GREAT JOURNEY SOUND BAD
Both put on great shows but the sound from Journey was very bad.
from Vancouver, British Columbia
JOURNEY & DEF LEPPARD - VANCOUVER OCT 1ST
Went to hear Journey but was blown away by Def Leppard! Journey - too many Neil
Schon - watch how fast I can play guitar solos - must say hi - lite though was Schon
playing cool solo version of Oh Canada. Definitely on back end of career - a bit pitchy
on the vocals and no interaction other than the occasional shout of "Vancouver'.
Def Leppard = performance and musicianship combined with great audience
interaction ! Everyone up on their feet (maybe the beer and other stimulants had
kicked in by then?) signing along - cleaner sound, tighter and all around a better
show.
John O from Portland, Oregon
FUN!, BUT JOURNEY NEEDS SOME CLARITY IMPROVEMENTS
Love both bands, DL was quite good and clear. Journey has the talent
but overall the music was muddy and overpowered voice. Journey
really needs sound help!! With going though
Carl from Houston, Texas
SOUND OF MUSIC
Journey opened and DL put out the lights.
Journey needs to find someone to fix their sound
issues, the sound was way off and sounded ragged.
Indoor venue, not outdoor arena, somebody figure it
out. It was also like some strange Oprah universe -
'you get a solo, and you get a solo, and you get a
solo, everybody gets a solo!' Result was stops and
starts in the flow of music. Lead guiter screamed at
every opportunity, lots of spotlight time. Show ended
with massive blasts of confetti that took FOREVER to
stop circulating through the air (thanks to the air
conditioning).
Def Leppard followed and rocked the house, Journey
had people waving their hands over their head - DL
had them dancing in the aisles. The music was tight,
flow was spot on. The encore of Pyromania followed
by Photograph put the icing on the cake.
Never underestimate the value of aisle seats!

DEF LEP=HIGH ENERGY, FUN SET. JOURNEY=BAD SOUND, SCRIPTED
Like most reviewers here I was excited to see both bands when they came to Dallas
to play at the American Airlines arena (indoors). Def Leppard came out excited, high
energy and maintained that throughout. VERY appreciative of the fans,
complimented each other within the band (amazing to watch the one-armed
drummer) and clearly were having fun playing for the sold out crowd.
Journey was a distortion nightmare. I love their music and I like the new lead singer
well enough, but it was awful. Neil's guitar droned out everything else and was so
distorted and over-amped that you couldn't make out the notes. Really bad. I
NEVER leave a show early and we bailed after 40 minutes of their walking around
the stage playing unintelligible songs. You'd think they might get this fixed over the
course of a 60-stop tour. Sad.

JOURNEY AND DEF LEPPARD
DEF LEPPARD stole the show. The music was crisp and the light show was awesome. And then came JOURNEY! The stage set was boring, the sound was horrible. It sounded like a Neal only solo show. I paid good money to see two power house bands and only one showed up. I will past on the next JOURNEY concert in the future. I will be first in line next time DEF LEPPARD comes to town! STEVE PERRY, please come back!!!!!!
AJ from Mandeville , Louisiana
DEF LEPPARD A+, JOURNEY D-
I went without any expectations .Def Leppard
started promptly at 730 and rocked a solid
hour and 40 minutes. Sound was clear and Joe
nailed it. Rick S , Phil and Vivian were rocking
professionals and smiled all night. Rick Allen is
so solid and smiled a lot too on the big screen.
30 minutes to change over and the Journey
started. It was a huge embarrassing
disappointment. The sound sucked and
feedback was off and on. The painful endless
Schon guitar solos were look at me filler that
proved without Steve there is no Journey. The
saving grace was drummer Steve Smith who at
times on big video seemed uncomfortable was
the highlight of their set. Arnel was really good
but his volume was drowned out by piano and
Schon. Several people by me left and
commented they came for Journey but couldn’t
take any more. This is a horrible pairing of
bands I thought would work, but when one
gives all and the other hardly attempts it ruins
it. It was almost as if it was a cover band
attempt.

VERY DISAPPOINTED IN JOURNEY
Def Leppard and Cheap Tricks were great. Def Leppard Amazing! Journey really was
horrible. Sound was terrible - could not hear any of the lyrics - just a lot of loud bass.
They have to get their act together or give it up. I waited a long time to see them; paid a
lot of money for a good seat. So glad Def Leppard came through. Def Leppard knows
what they are doing.
Jamie from Boston, Massachusetts
DEF LEPPARD ROCKED...JOURNEY NOT
Def Leppard rocked and was
amazing,. Have seen many many
times over the years and they still
have it. I was very disappointed
with Journey, Sound awful and
basically guitar solos.

DEF LEPPARD AND JOURNEY
Def Leppard awesome. Journey awful. Need Steve Perry back. The
original journey members still on tour are great but the new
singer.....not. ! Cheap trick out did journey. the sound systems at
Fenway need help.
Sonya from Boston, Massachusetts
DEF LEPPARD WAS AMAZING!
As usual Def Leppard did not disappoint with their playlist or how they interacted and
performed for the audience. I could of listened to them all night. Journey on the other
hand was such a disappointment. it seemed like their new lead singer was just chosen to
be part of the background, you barely saw or heard him, the music was so loud it was
drowning him out, not to mention the sound was off key and I didn't realize it was the
Neal Schon show. I mean really, how many guitar solos do you need. We walked out early
cause Journey just sucked ass...
Judy from Cape Cod, Massachusetts
OMG ...JOURNEY...SOUND CHECK PLEASE!
Cheap Trick and Def Leppard were great.Journey
sounded awful. We were hoping the sound quality
would improve but no luck.
Brian from Des Moines, Iowa
DEF LEPPARD WAS GREAT!
Def Leppard was great! Journey was very
strung out and did not understand the lead
singer due to too much base! We went two
years ago and was much better. Turn
downthebase and crowd canhear words and
music
Rick from Chicago, Illinois
WRIGLEY FIELD
The Pretenders were good, well balanced sound and good song
selection. Journey was next and sounded great. Really enjoyed their
show. Def Leppard closed the night. The sound was not good. The bass
and drums drowned out the guitars most of the time. They were so
loud I thought my head was going to explode. The vocals did cut
through the mix though.

DEF LEPPARD MADE THE SHOW
Def Leppard = amazing experience! Feels like you are back in the 80's. It's cool to experience a band that is still together and sounding the same as they did from my old vinyl albums. Love them!
Journey, the music drowned out the singer. They did not have the same nostalgia that Def Leppard had. I miss Steve Perry!! The new guy, he's good, but it felt like watching a cover band.
Mike from Little Rock, Arkansas
DEF LEP JOURNEY SHOW
def lep was great! saw journey last time they
were in Little Rock, and they were very very
good. This time the sound was very distorted
too much of lead guitarist and show seem to
have no flow very disappointed.

JOURNEY/DEF LEPPARD 6/16/18
I loved it all. Grew up with Journey and Def Leppard but this was my first time seeing them live. Brought my 10 year old daughter for her first concert. I loved both bands, didn't care much for either the piano or the guitar solo's from Journey but that aside, I loved it. Def Leppard had an awesome show, played all the hits I love and sounded great, light show was spectacular! My 10 yr old will never forget it. Thanks to both bands!

DEP LEPPARD KILLED IT
Madison Square Garden June 13 2018.
journey opened with a very mediocre
performance. The sound mix was horrible and
Neal Schon continues to think that the
audience is there to pay homage to his guitar
skills
Def Leppard on the other hand was a
revelation... great sound, great light show, but
above all a band that appreciates the audience,
Aband that seems to really want to be there
and who is tight musically and vocally. - yes we
are all getting older but this is a band that
knows how to put on a show!
If you are attending one of the shows where
Def Leppard is opening the evening, you can
leave when they end their set. The Neal Schon
band is a waste of time!

FIRE JOURNEY’S SOUND GUY!
Saw Journey/Def Leppard last night at MSG. Def Leppard was
absolutely amazing. They sounded great, great presence on stage, and
played all the songs I wanted to hear. Journey on the other hand, was
just plain bad! The sound was so off, the bass was so loud, that I found
myself putting my fingers in my ears half the time. Thank god Def
Leppard closed the show, I left very happy and almost forgot the shit
show that was Journey.
Daveg from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
DEF LEPPARD SOUNDED GREAT; JOURNEY A DISAPOINTMENT
I agree with the prior reviews on Journey's sound. Neal Schon had a ton of special effects pedals but no matter what he did it was just a wall of distortion. Even on the mellower Journey songs Neal used an inappropriate amount of distortion which masked the melody. Plus, he felt the need to do a major solo on every single song. It was just too much. When Def Leppard came on there was a noticeable change in the crowd's demeanor. People were up on their feet, clapping and dancing. The band was spot on and their sound was much better balanced. Joe Elliot still sounds amazingly well (although he looks terrible!). Both bands have a ton of great hits, bot only Def Leppard was able to tap into the crowds enthusiasm

CHARLOTTE SPECTRUM CENTER
My guitarist and myself went to see Journey
and Def Leppard at the Spectrum Center.
Going into the venue we both thought that
Def Leppard would have a huge sound and
presence when taking the stage. After all,
they are a very well recognized live band. We
figured Journey would open up for Def
Leppard as Journey has a softer sound with
more pop driven songs. We also figured Def
Leppard would go 100x harder than Journey,
but Journey's set list would be better. Boy
were we wrong. Journey was a tighter, better
sounding band across all fronts with a vastly
better set, sound, and presence. I came here
to see if other people had shared the same
disappointment with Def Leppard as we did.
They seemed old, out of touch, and on their
last leg. As where Journey almost felt surreal.
I saw significantly more Def Leppard shirts
than I saw Journey ones, and that may be
the tale here. People reviewing these
concerts are Def Leppard fans. Take it with a
grain of salt. Journey was vastly better.
Lori M from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
DISAPPOINTED
Def Leppard put on a really good
show. . Journey has always been my
favorite but this time it seemed to be
the Neal Schon concert. Stick with all
the songs that made Journey great
and less guitar solos. We know you're
good Neal but it's a Journey concert.
from Charlotte, North Carolina
DEF LEPPARD AMAZING! JOURNEY OK EXCEPT FROM DRUMMER
Def Leppard sounded fresh, powerful, raw,
very well tuned, clear sound, great vocsls, Joe
Elliott was super! very impressed, best show
from Leppard since 1989, I saw them in 2007,
1996, 1989 - this gid sounder crip, clear, hit all
the high notes,

ISSUES WITH SOUND FOR JOURNEY!
Journey were not at their best. Issues with
sound. Too many guitar solos. Not enough hits
performed. Something was definately wrong.
Not sure what. Disappointed as I’ve seen them
before and they were great.
DEF LEPPARD were AMAZING!! They sang every
hit song. Definitely blew the doors off the
performance of Journey. The whole statium
erupted. Maybe if the Dome was open it would
have been even better!
Mike Pryor from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
DEF LEPPARD WAS GREAT, JOURNEY NOT SO MUCH/PITTSBURGH, PA
I must say that I was in tears at the end of the Def Leppard portion of the concert.
Tears of JOY. Never got to see them in my youth, but they took me back there. Age
has not caught up to these gentlemen yet. I will see them again.
The Journey portion brought me back to reality. Age has caught up to these gents.
Enjoyed Steve's drum solo. It was my highlight for them. Neil, I remember you as one
of the greatest shredders of all-time. I will continue remembering. Sound was not
good for this portion of the concert. Journey is band that you need to listen to the
words of the songs as much as the instruments. That was not what they did.
Brian Cashdollar from Hartford, Connecticut
ONE GREAT LEGENDARY BAND, ONE GOOD KAROKE GROUP
The XL Centers sound system was made through a mass purchase of Bullhorns in the 1960's. It's embarrassing that they use it outside of basketball games, even Basketball games deserve better. That said, Def Leppard is still the best Legend Act still going. No competition, checked the Bucket List for me. Let's talk about Journey, is everyone still over Steve Perry's replacement? Not me, he delivered great vocals but, you know.
Lisa from Los Angeles, California
DEF LEPARD WAS AWESOME...JOURNEY WAS MEH
Sadly, I bought tickets for the Saturday night show because Journey was the closing
act. Turns out I should've bought tickets for the Sunday night show when Def
Lepard was the closing act. Def Lepard rocked the house out and were outstanding
in every way. What a disappointment Journey was after Def's opening act.
Journey's set consisted of about 1-hour of instrumental solos by each member.
Boring after a while. The volume of the music drowned out the vocals of the lead
singer. This may have been by design because Pineda came off as a weak Steve
Perry wannabe. It's no wonder so many people started leaving during Journey's act.
Neal Schon made a big mistake of mentioning that Steve Perry's new album came
out that day, because what did I do when I got home? I listened to some of the songs
off Steve's new album "Traces" and it is clear that Steve Perry is irreplaceable. His
voice is still awesome.
Journey, you need to do what you have to do to get Steve back! Seriously!

JOURNEY AND DEF LEPARD
Journey is my all time favorite and I have been to four
of their concerts in the past six years. Every time I’ve
gone it has been a real treat. This past Saturday at the
Gorge in Washington was just a mess. The sound was
terrible. Arnel was off key and could not be heard
over the high bass and windy noise of the guitars. The
long solos were too much - way too long. There were
not enough of the classic songs. They weren’t very
personable to the audience. It was embarrassing and
sad to see so many people leave early. Def Lepard on
the other hand was a big surprise to me. I didn’t think
I’d like their show as much as I did. Their sound
system was great and they were engaging. The
audience was very much into their performance. It
was a lot of money for only half a concert.

DEF/JOURNEY IN NAMPA
I'm a fan of both bands. I had a ticket issue from the start. They said sold out
except most expensive seats n then all of a sudden they had tickets. Bait n switch.
Then I was told I could get a meet n Greet with Journey n that was fake too.
Regardless of all that - I was there for Journey. Def blew the doors off the joint.
They were hands down amazing. I'm bummed to say Journey struggled. They clearly
had sound issues. When they did solos the sound was good, not great, good. We
couldn't hear Arnel at all except when he did some odd solo note belting during
Faithfully, n he jumped around too much. Neal was a great in his solos n he did a
special solo riff in Faithfully. Steve's a master at the drums n Jon was amazing on
the piano but together all we could hear was the drums. Ross kept making faces at
the crowd. The overall feel I got was they didn't want to be here. I was excited to
see them n they didn't want to be here. Idaho has fans too, sorry were not good
enough for you!

JOURNEY'S SOUND TERRIBLE/DEF LEPPARD DELIVERED
Journey's sounds was muffled, Arnel was hard to hear, and acoustics were terrible. After all the negative reviews with this tour, I can't believe they haven't fixed it. It's wrong to charge $$$ for tickets and not deliver on one basic element - sound. I WiLL NEVER attend another Journey concert. Def Leppard delivered and were very entertaining. We watched from nosebleed seats at Moda in Portland and some jerks in front of us stood the entire concert. Their seats had a rail in front of them, so they felt supported as they stood the entire time. One song or two songs...ya, sure okay...I get it. You're inspired and want to stand. However, when you don't feel stable being up that high and don't have that guard in front of you, standing to sway one or two inches doesn't feel safe. Have some common courtesy and sit in between a few songs. Security wouldn't make them sit, but I will admit it was entertaining to watch people throw things at the backs of their heads.
Jackie from San Francisco, California
DOOBIES: GOOD DL AND JOURNEY TERRIBLE
I have to say that this was the worst concert I have ever been to. We went the very night
before to see the Eagles and had a fantastic time, probably one of the best concerts I've
ever seen. The sound was completely off for both DL and Journey. The Doobie Brothers
seemed to have better sound, not sure why. We left before Journey even finished. I was
very disappointed. The sound was at its best OUTSIDE of the ballpak.
Michael Hunt from San Francisco, California
THE JOURNEY TO DEFNESS
I would hire a better sound crew or at least hire the sound crew from Foo Fighters tour
as consultants. BTW, Foo Fighters sounded amazing in SAP Center. Any who, the
opening act, Foreigner actually sounded good despite the 6pm-ish start with dusk
looming near. DEF LEPPARD runs out on the stage, does their intro, then silence and
runs back off stage. Oops. Was that a foretelling of things to come? I would say that Joe
Elliot did his best to keep the energy going, but the sound issues took away from the
band's performance. The hits were as I remembered them, but the distortion in the
sound at various key points of their set was baffling. And then we move onto JOURNEY.
The sound issues continued, but at least Arnel Pineda's voice held for the hits. If the
sound crew had resolved most of the mixing issues, then I feel it would have been a
magical night. ATT park is an amazing venue to experience a concert even at a brisk 55
degrees :)
Michael Webster from Hayward California
A.T & T. PARK CONCERT
D.L. was excellent. Mick and Company were solid. Journey however was not good even
a little. The lead singer has done a dis service to the lyrics and nuances of said lyrics that
we all know by heart. Any variance and we know we are watching and expensive
Karaoke band. Then the overall sound issues! Where do i start? It was just bad.
Chuck from San Francisco CA
WENT TO SEE JOURNEY, DL WAS BETTER.
Journey is a vocal driven AOR band but I found the guitars over-powering, the sound mix
was simply off. Many have said the same thing so not sure why the band hasn't
tweaked things. It's not the venue because Def Leppard sounded crisper, cleaner.
Seemed like Arnel was trying to sing thru the distortion.
DL sounded like the records. Journey not so much. Someone needs to turn down the
volume on Neal Schon's guitar.
ATT park is good enough acoustically, I saw AC/DC there and they sounded awesome.
Kristie Coffman from Dallas, Texas
JOURNEY JUST SAD
Like other reviews, def l rocked it! Journey- so
sad. All reviews are true. I was there. Looks
like Journey is on their way out. Sound was so
distorted, couldn’t tell what song was playing
unless you really concentrated to hear it and
we have the songs memorized like everyone
else. Still love Journey- just sad.
Unbiased from Houston, Texas
JOURNEY AND DEF LEPPARD ARE SUB PAR
Most of everyone in our section was sitting down in their seats for BOTH concerts.
Def Leppard had a better light show and video. Journey had no lights and their video lack
interest. So Arnel of Journey was more energetic jumping around like a rock star like he
should as he's the youngest of all the stars. And there was a guitar, piano and drum solo
which is common for talented bands (Coldplay concerts also had solos too)
But for Def Leppard ? I guess they cant jump because they might break their old knees. Still
Joe captivated the crowd better than Arnel can by addressing them directly more.
Obviously the crowd came in for Def Leppard but for raw individual talent, Journey
members displayed that they can work on their own which is true as Arnel has already
toured by himself last year. Def Leppard did not demonstrate individual talent and thats
fine for them
This review is for the 2nd show in Houston on Labor Day and both acts wanted to make it
better than the 1st show.
Radonna Holmes from Dallas, Texas
WHAT HAPPENED TO MY JOURNEY?
Def Leppard was spot-on...the music...the mix...and crowd engagement! Journey
struggled...start to finish. Just when we thought the guitar solos would never end...they
never did! Felt like filler. Too many unfamiliar songs. Journey fans are there to hear the
HITS they love and grew up with. Sadly, Arnel's vocals were terribly flat. He seemed
exhausted and disconnected from the audience.
Ryan from New Orleans, Louisiana
DEF LEPPARD 👍 JOURNEY👎
My wife and I are both big fans of Journey and
Def Leppard. Def open up the show. Their
playing was tight, interacted with audience,
good sound, nice light show with videos of
earlier times, played like they wanted to be
there and appreciated the fans. Then comes
Journey. *Note* ( My ears are still ringing!).
Fire the sound tech! The drums, bass, piano
and guitar were way too loud. The only time
they sounded decent is when they would let
the fans sing parts of the song. Lead vocals
was struggling. It felt as if they were trying to
hide something. I know they are talented
musicians with close to 50 years under their
belt but Monday night they were not worth it. I
finished my night at the bar drinking $11.00
draft. (Trying to drink away the painful sounds
of Journey!) Very disappointed with Journey.
Def Leppard should have headlined this event.
Walking back to the hotel, the street
performers out played Journey!

DEF LEPPARD AWESOME AND JOURNEY SUCKED
Dej leppard sounded amazing and clear. Journey sucked. Sounded
distortedand speakers hept failing. Journey was terrible and will never
see them again.
Jaci Reynolds from Boston, Massachusetts
WHERE WAS THE SOUND CREW??
Def Leopard : amazing as always.
Journey: Who knows? The sound mix
was the WORST I've ever heard. All
bass and distortion. It was painful and
I left. They need a new sound crew. I
feel so bad for them. They clearly had
no idea.
Pam from Minneapolis, Minnesota
WHERE WAS THE SOUND GUY FOR JOURNEY!
Def Leppard was awesome. Journey, who I
have seen many times and was never
dissatisfied, sounded terrible! Where was the
sound technician!! They were distorted beyond
belief. Very sad to see the band playing their
hearts out not knowing how bad they were
coming across. They need a new sound tech!!!

WE ENJOYED DEF L:EPPARD
We saw Journey and Def Leppard at the Sprint Center in Kansas City at their July 25,
2018 show. We are both Journey fans, and while we didn't set our expectations too
high we were still completely disappointed. I would like to say that I was able to tell
the difference between their new singer Arnel Pineda vs Steve Perry, but I couldn't
hear him over the crushing volume of Neal Schon's guitar. The setlist was great, if it
would have actually sounded like music, rather than just noise, it would have been
good. Def Leppard was awesome! The sound could have used slightly more
adjustments, but overall decent for a live show. We decided that we would go see
them again if they tour next year based on this show.
Big Dog from Louisville, Kentucky
DEF LEPPARD ROCKED / JOURNEY MIX AWFUL
I went to Def Leppard / Journey at KFC -Yum Center on 7/11/18, primarily to see Journey
with drummer Steve Smith. Def Leppard was pleasant surprise and sounded great.
Journey was OK but their sound mix was atrocious! I was seated next to sound board and
kept looking at engineer to see if they noticed problem with mix. Nothing! How is that
possible for a band that has been touring for over 40 years? Steve Smith had nice drum
solo but appeared bored and disinterested other than that.
